Entry #2 - 3/4-7/14
Okay, so entry #2.
So far, so good..
As I previously mentioned, I just recently discovered about a pre-existing medical condition that I have always had.
I officially found out on February 12th.
I was told that according to my X-ray "there is severe grade 3 /borderline grade 4 spondylolisthesis at L5-S1."
And according to my MRI "there is bilateral spondylolysis of L5 with grade 3/borderline grade 4 spondylolisthesis of L5 on S1." As well as "sever degenerative disc disease at L5-S1 with severe bilateral neural foranimal stenosis at this level."
Oh, and my spine narrows from vertebra L5-S1.
To be honest I honestly had no idea what any of that meant. It was all words and numbers and I assumed that the longer the word the worse it was. And I knew that if the word "severe" was in the mix, it was not looking good.
In English, this all means that I have a condition in which a bone (vertebra) in the spine slips out of the proper position onto the bone below it.
Doesn't sound too bad right? So there's some "movement" in my spine...

Not good, but not terrible right?
Well, in light of recent appointments I've had with surgeons I've learned that if anything traumatic happens to my spine that my vertebrae can completely separate.
Awesome.
I'm limited on movement and if I jump, push, pull, lift, bend or twist the wrong way I can make it worse. And have to go into surgery immediately.
So, now that you all know what's changed everything so quickly I can update you guys on my thought processes.
And if no one is reading this then I just have a very public diary. Which is cool too.
